Today the Thursday Walking group did the Granville Island walk and we ended up back in the Granville market for lunch. There were quite a lot of opportunities to buy something for your beloved today and I took a few photos of the options.

Now, says the young man, which bouquet would she like best?

Maybe some candy as well

Red jewellery would be elegant

Of course, don't forget a card

One can never go wrong with chocolate cake
Lots of choice at the market today for showing your love how much you treasure him/her. I hope you all had a happy Valentine's day today.

Young fatso had a day like any other.
What is Valentine's Day anyway?
Love?!
Think I've missed something along the way.
Spoilt for colourful choice there, jmb!
I had a very nice "Quirky Singles Day" along with a massage. I haven't been down to Granville Island for ages - must take a stroll down there soon.
Well, we exchange cards at about 11 pm when Husband got home from working away - so an exciting Valentine's Day for us!
Lovely photographs of the valentine options. I wondered about your Thursday walking club (if you all still walked together). That was the first thing I noticed about your blog (photos from the walking club) and after that photohunters, and then I started discovering your range of interesting posts. Good to see a post about the walking club again.
I spent all day getting cussed by two female colleagues who had some strange idea I should have got them cards.
As I pointed out, the point of the day is send cards to loved ones, not to unattached female colleagues just to make them feel good.
Anyway, I ended up making some ersatz ones with a pen and paper, but my 'It's the thought that counts' theory, was disctinctly unappreciated.
As you say, JMB, One can never go wrong with chocolate cake.
And you too. The cake looks very inviting. But Granville Market is always very inviting, too.
Hi Calum,
we don't celebrate Valentine's Day either. I think it's just commercialized day over here and it was never our tradition.
Hi WCLC,
Lots of great choice indeed. It was hard to resist the little cakes.
Hi Leslie,
A massage sounds like heaven to me. We visit Granville Island a lot.
Hi Liz,
Well that's something I guess. A card is good and he remembered all by himself.
Hi Carver,
Yes we still walk every Thursday but I don't always blog about it because often it's exactly the same as other times.
Hi Crushed,
What is it in your office, high school again. It's the number that counts not the quality? I don't think you could win one way or another yesterday by the sounds of things.
Hi James,
My thought exactly. It was really hard to leave that one in the case and walk away.
Hi Ian,
There were lots of these small two person cakes with different slogans. We love Granville Island and go there often.
Thanks to everyone for visiting and commenting
regards
jmb
I love the photos. So many sweet ways to show your love. Those cards are pretty. I agree, you can never go wrong with a chocolate cake.
Hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day celebration.
Ah yes, the Granvile Market. I remember it from my visit to Vancouver. Your photo reminds me of the German markets that are on every Saturday. We have only one market here in T-Dot and it's not easy to get to if your disabled. No more parking, just condo towers...ciao
yum, those are great pictures and they made me hungry for chocolate.
I hope you had a good valentines day!
He might have been saying, "Which bouquet would HE like best!"
LOL! It IS Granville Island, after all.
What a gorgeous cake. My one real weakness...chocolate.
